In Case You Missed It… Conservative Coalition Calls on Congress to Oppose Durbin-Marshall Credit Card Bill

Rate caps & routing mandates “would reduce consumer credit access, fail to address affordability concerns, and fragment an already dependable, well-functioning payments system.”

WASHINGTON, DC — A coalition of more than two dozen conservative organizations released a letter today urging members of Congress to oppose government price controls on credit cards, including efforts to impose caps on interest rates or the Durbin-Marshall Credit Card Mandates. Taken on their own, these are flawed government price controls. Together, they are catastrophic for our economy, small businesses and families’ prosperity.
