EPC Hires Larry Seyfried as Head of Federal Government Relations

| Electronic Payments Coalition

WASHINGTON, DC—The Electronic Payments Coalition today announced Larry Seyfried has joined EPC as Managing Director of Federal Legislative Affairs. Seyfried will lead EPC’s legislative efforts alongside EPC Executive Chairman Richard Hunt.

Prior to EPC, Seyfried spearheaded coalitions and member services for the House Financial Services Committee under Chairman Patrick McHenry during the 118th Congress and held a similar role in the 119th Congress under Chairman French Hill.

“Larry’s depth of policy knowledge and strong relationships, both on The Hill and across the industry, will be invaluable to EPC’s efforts,” said EPC Executive Chairman Richard Hunt. “As EPC grows to meet the needs of our members, we will continue our work at both the federal and state level in protection of our nation’s payment system and the benefits it offers both consumers and small businesses.”

Before his tenure on the committee, Seyfried was Senior Vice President of Government Relations for the American Bankers Association. He began his career in D.C. as a policy advisory to former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) during his tenure as Republican Whip.

“I’m excited to join the EPC team,” Seyfried said. “In this role, I look forward to working to ensure that American consumers, small businesses and community financial institutions continue to have access to our secure, safe and convenient payment systems.”

Seyfried is a graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington.
