The Electronic Payments Coalition submitted statements for the record to both Senate and House Banking Committees ahead of the semi-annual hearings with Fed Chairman Jerome Powell on March 7th and 8th. The statements call on Congress to repeal the Durbin Amendment, highlighting numerous studies and report that detail how debit interchange price caps and routing mandates have increased the number of underbanked and unbanked population in the United States by one million people.
